My Guy Sent Me a Video I Never Wanted to See

It was a regular Tuesday morning. I was half-asleep, scrolling through nothing in particular, when the notification came in.

It was from my Cana Plug.

"Bro you dey online?"

I told him I was online. He typed for a while, then stopped. Then typed again. Whatever he was trying to say, it was not coming easy.

"Abeg no vex for wetin I wan send you," he finally said.

I told him to go ahead. I thought he wanted to send new market for me to try, or to even bill me.

Then he said it.

"Bro na about your babe."

My chest dropped a little. I asked what happened to her. He said he did not even know how to tell me. Then he said he has proof that she was cheating.

I laughed. I actually laughed. Told him to rest, that he was joking. Me and this girl had been together almost 4 years. She was the one who always told me I was paranoid whenever I got worried about small things.

"I swear bro I no dey joke," he sent back.

Then a video came through. Seventeen seconds long.

He sent one more message after it: "Bro no be her be this."

I sat there for a few seconds just staring at the preview. My thumb was hovering over it. Something in me already knew that whatever was in those seventeen seconds, I could not unsee it.
